My research area focuses on understanding the ice formation in mixed-phase clouds. Of special interests are the relevance of ice-nucleating particles and ice multiplication at moderate supercooling. I am taking part in field campaigns during which I am taking pictures of snowflakes and collecting aerosol and precipitation samples for further analysis. My project is funded by the SNF, project nr.:169620 (http://p3.snf.ch/project-169620).
