Profile

My research and teaching are in atmospheric physics, with a focus on atmospheric aerosols (particulate matter, PM) and their interaction with meteorological processes and air quality. I have extensive experience in long-term aerosol measurements within international air quality monitoring networks and in the planning and implementation of air quality studies on particulate matter and other air pollutants. Current research includes the coupling of particulate matter measurements with micrometeorological processes and teaching concepts that combine low-cost particulate matter sensors, programming, and easily implemented data pipelines.

Research interests

  • Aerosols and particulate matter (PM)
  • Atmospheric physics
  • Air quality monitoring
