Research interests

My research involves how environmental challenges can be internalized in economic processes. It aims to shed light on the impacts of climate change mitigation and adaptation measures on the economy as a whole, individual agents, and the environment. Captivated by both large-scale macroeconomic dynamics and microeconomic shifts, I investigate both changes in production and preferences as well as the pathways to sustainable low-carbon economic growth. Using computable general equilibrium models to capture the structure of the economy and the behavioral response of different economic agents, I focus on public policies that target bioenergy and impact land use changes. To what extent can bioenergy abate GHG emissions, what are the direct and indirect impacts of increase feedstocks production on the environment, and how economic agents will react to shifts in production are among the questions I seek to address.
