PhD - Doctorate
The Department of Environmental Sciences offers opportunities to pursue individual doctorates in the following subjects:
- Botany
- Geography
- Geosciences
- Prehistory and Archaeological Science
- Environmental Sciences
- Zoology
A doctorate can only be taken up in consultation and agreement with the respective professor.
PhD students can choose one of several doctoral programs:
- PhD Program Environmental Sciences (including the possibility to participate in the Water-Earth Systems PhD School)
- PhD Program in Science and Policy of Zurich-Basel Plant Science Center (PSC)
- PhD Program in Plant Sciences of Zurich-Basel Plant Science Center (PSC)
The doctoral students belong to Group III of the Departmental Assembly: List of current PhD and PostDoc representatives in the Department Committee.
